Gee’s Bend VIP Dinner

We are thrilled to host a VIP Dinner on Sunday, February 23rd, to celebrate the closing performance of Gee’s Bend and mark the beginning of our exciting new collaboration with the Aurora Fox Theatre.

This VIP culinary event will showcase a thoughtfully curated menu by Chef Cool Dre (https://www.instagram.com/chefcooldre), featuring rich flavors and soulful dishes that complement the powerful themes of the play. Special guest, Director Donnie L. Betts will be in attendance and available to share his experience of directing this show!

Cocktail Hour – No reservation or ticket required
12:45-1:45 p.m. or 4-5:15 p.m.

Join us before or after the show to relax with a gin fizz or Southern punch and savor small bites like candied bacon, deviled eggs, and spicy pear & cheddar bites. No ticket necessary; simply purchase at our bar!

Following our post-show happy hour, ticket-holders will experience Chef Cool Dre’sthoughtful Gee’s Bend Tribute Menu, with an elevated take on several classic dishes:

• Black-eyed pea fritter with dried okra furikake & jalapeño hollandaise
• Cornbread loaf with whipped blackberry & molasses butter
• Confit chicken legs with citrus BBQ sauce, pickled watermelon salad & burnt green onion oil
• Buttermilk pie
